Jonathan Dyrud
Jonathan Dyrud is a New York based actor that is thrilled to be calling Lean Ensemble his home away from home. Jonathan has been seen onstage at Lean as Jaxton Cliffton in Thanksgiving Play, Father Flynn in Doubt, Anthony Reily in Outside Mullingar, and Christmas Present and various roles in A Christmas Carol. He has also been seen onstage on this Isle of Hilton Head as Clark in The Arts Center of Coastal Carolina’s production of The Cottage.
Jonathan achieved his Bachelors of Fine Arts from Southern Oregon University, then started his professional career at the Oregon Shakespeare Festival in his home state, where he played Medvedenko in The Seagull, Froth and Friar Peter in Measure for Measure, Ensemble in To Kill a Mockingbird, Ensign Denny and Ensemble in Pride and Prejudice, appeared in several Midnight Projects including Marcus Gee in Yellowface, Solomon in Speech and Debate, Directed a midnight production of Speech and Debate, and played countless roles over three years as part of the touring School Visit Program.
Jonathan then went to the regions, where he worked at the three headed monster known as Great Lakes Theater in Cleveland Ohio, Idaho Shakespeare Festival in Boise Idaho, and Lake Tahoe Shakespeare Festival in Lake Tahoe California where his favorite roles include Hamlet in Hamlet, Petruchio in The Taming of the Shrew, Antipholus of Ephesus in The Comedy of Errors, Tony Wendice in Dial M for Murder, Banquo in MacBeth, King Ferdinand in Love’s Labour’s Lost, Edmund in King Lear, Antonio in The Tempest, Lieutenant Wright and Ensemble in The Secret Garden.
Jonathan extends his deepest and heartfelt thanks to his family, friends and most importantly his wife, Mandie, who’s put up with him for the past 14 years. For Teddy.
